Perkins+Will have chosen the sleek Billi Taps in Matt Black finish for use in their own kitchen.
Perkins+Will is an interdisciplinary, research-based architecture and design firm established in 1935.
Founded on the belief that design has the power to transform lives and enhance communities, it collaborates with clients all over the world to create healthy, sustainable places in which to live, learn, work, play, and heal.
In 2016, they were crowned as Interior Design Practice of the Year at FX Awards, the most prestigious ‘special’ awards, which are judged and awarded by the public.
Challenge – energy-efficient and reliable boiling, chilled and sparkling system with a sleek design
In March 2017, Perkins+Will relocated to The White Chapel Building in Aldgate. The new, 26,000 sq. ft. office space is an exemplar of workplace design as well as showcase for firm’s values. Most importantly, their aim to be LEED Gold and one of the first Fitwel certified projects in Europe, this project had very specific requirements: to create a flexible space that allows for agile working, collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst the staff.

The company approached Billi UK with a clear objective: an energy-efficient and reliable boiling, chilled and sparkling system with a sleek design to match their contemporary break out areas.
Perkins+Will specified Billi Quadra Plus Sparkling systems, combining boiling, chilled and sparkling filtered water through the XL Levered Tap in Matt Black and hot and cold water from a Gooseneck Sink Mixer Tap in Matt Black.
Conference rooms
For their conference rooms, they opted for Billi Quadra Plus Sparkling system in Chrome over the sink to enable jugs and bottle filling.
The project was co-ordinated with TMJ Interiors, ISG contractors, Megan Mechanical and Mand M Ltd.
Perkins+Will has also taken out the Billi Gold Maintenance Plan, a planned maintenance agreement covering servicing and filter replacement.
The Result
We were looking for a smart solution to dispense boiling, chilled and sparkling water from one tap that would complement our newly designed office. Apart from a reliable under-counter system, we were keen to match the dispenser colour and finish with the kitchen design to achieve a contemporary and vibrant space for our staff. And, Billi products have helped us to achieve this perfectly.
