Hot Drinks That Make Us Love the Festive Period

Christmassy Hot Drinks We Can’t Get Enough Of

As the weather turns colder, hot drinks are becoming even more essential. When you’re feeling the chill, pick up a hot drink and warm yourself from the inside out. Christmas time brings some great recipes along with it incorporating some festive flavours such as gingerbread, pumpkin spice, mint and orange. These are our favourite Christmas hot drinks we can’t get enough of – perfect for impressing your family or friends in the office.

Jasmine and Ginger Festive Tea

This is the perfect low-calorie drink to get you into the Christmas spirit. If you can’t quite handle rich, creamy chocolates or coffees, this is the drink for you. It’s light and refreshing but still has those wintery flavours we love. To make this tea, you will need jasmine tea – either loose leaf or bagged. Combine the jasmine tea with frozen berries, a cinnamon stick, star anise, ginger and cloves in a large teapot. There’ll be enough for everybody! Then fill the teapot with hot water from your Billi tap and let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes. The flavours will make it feel like Christmas wherever you are.

Spiced Coffee

Knock big coffee shops on the head this winter. Make your yummy coffees yourself! To make this tasty spiced coffee, you will need cinnamon, cardamom, and honey. This sweet coffee will certainly hit the spot. For a caffeine boost and Christmassy flavours, we love this hot drink. Start by making your coffee with frothy, warm milk, then add the cinnamon powder, and cardamom seeds. Top with hot water and leave to brew for a few minutes. After a few minutes, remove the cardamom seeds and add the honey. Enjoy!

Nutmeg and Orange Coffee

Nothing says Christmas quite like a chocolate orange… This coffee combines that orange flavour with a work appropriate buzz. Caffeine! For this, you can make coffee for the whole office. Grab a cafetiere and get going. Put ground coffee, a cinnamon stick and two large pitted dates in. Then add ground nutmeg, cloves and orange zest. When all this added, add the hot water to the cafetiere. Stir all the ingredients lightly and then leave for around 4 minutes. After this time, push the plunger down and pour your coffee. Add milk or sugar as desired.

Gingerbread Latte

This is a big hit at all major coffee shops, but why not make it at work? You’ll save yourself some money! Make yourself some strong coffee using hot water from your Billi tap. After that, combine a teaspoon of cinnamon, a teaspoon of ground ginger, two teaspoons of sugar and a tablespoon of molasses or syrup. Heat your milk, then stir all the ingredients together. This is certainly a sweet winter warmer.

Which one of these if your favourite? Have a go making them all in the office and let us know the verdict.
